The Hero Tribe's purpose is to take people out of their ordinary world and allow them to live their personal hero's journey. We believe that everyone has the inherent slumbering potential to be the hero of their life story and live their true nature.

Founded by Camilla, Sascha and Joana, the Hero Tribe started with training camps in different locations in Europe and Asia and then grew into a worldwide community that accompanies people on their journey to a greater life.

The origins of the Tribe are the different backgrounds of Sascha, Camilla and Joana. Sascha is a lifelong martial arts researcher, trained in temples and monasteries in Asia, and is co-founder of the Missing Link Martial Arts community and the Secret Elements Qi Gong system. Camilla came from a career in the 5-star hotel industry before deciding to go her own way and open a fitness and yoga studio in Vietnam. Joana is the unusual blend of scientist and shamanic practitioner and counselor. This unique blend of perspectives laid the foundation for the holistic structure and methodology that serves people today, from deepening or healing their relationships to realizing their long-held dreams to being wildly open to life or to amplifying their success.

The Hero Tribe's mission is to help weave the new story of humanity. A story of sovereignty, unity and co-creation. What it needs are audaciously free humans, the archetypal heroes – but not the shallow type of heroes we are culturally accustomed to. We help awaken heroes who breathe the fabric of the universe, who feel the interconnectedness of everything, and who have the unconfined courage and the heart to live their lives as a love and adventure story with themselves.

With the Hero Tribe's unfolding, we want to contribute to this great and magnificent shift of consciousness. By helping people awaken their inner hero, by training new hero's journey mentors, by forming tribal circles around the world, and by building villages that our soul has been longing for. That is the dream we are allowing to come to life.

A little insight into our genesis...
Sascha was on his 2-year research trip around the world. His friend Joana was studying at a university in Germany and got an offer to do her Bachelor's thesis at a botanical institute in Hanoi, Vietnam. Camilla had just finished her career in the five-star hotel industry in Hanoi, because she discovered that something crucial was missing in her life. She was in the process of launching her health & fitness brand Motion when she attended a Qi Gong class. The teachers were Sascha and Joana, who had both arranged to meet in Hanoi. That's how they all met each other for the first time. 

And so, slowly and steadily, the Hero Tribe was born. The first collaboration was a Qi Gong teacher training they hosted in Bali, where also the first time the three of them went on spiritual research trips together on the island. 
Later the first Spirit of the Hero camp followed in Liguria, Italy, which is still held in the same magical location. Participants from the camps wanted to work on their hero's journey in a more long-term and profound way and from this desire, the Hero Tribe Academy was born.
 

In 2020, the Hero Tribe hosted a retreat in Goa and a martial arts training camp in a Tibetan monastery in Dhramasala. There, the first parts of the Hero's Handbook were created. With the last plane out of India, shortly before a months-long lockdown, the book was then finished in the quiet time afterward. The success of the Hero's Handbook finally put the Hero Tribe on the track it is on today.
