Sascha Wagener led quite a special life in the last 20 years. His research and training journeys let him to mountain temples, monasteries and tribal warriors all around the world. He taught world-known clients in Asia's most prestigious wellness resort and is co-founder of the Secret Elements Qi Gong & Therapy system and founding member of the Missing Link Martial Arts Research Society.
A Life Full Of Adventure...
Camilla is the camp's organizer and ensures the entire experience runs smoothly. She used to work for five-star hotels around the world before being drawn to new challenges and adventures.
In her quest to become a conscious entrepreneur, she opened a fitness and health center in Vietnam before founding the Hero Tribe with Joana and Sascha. Since then, she has been constantly educating herself on how to connect her business life with what her soul wants in this life and mentoring heroes on their journey to financial freedom.
In addition, Camilla has trained in traditional methods and techniques. She completed training as a Thai Yoga Massage Therapist at one of the most prestigious training centers in Bangkok and has expanded this knowledge with her training at a Shiatsu Institute. She is a Qi Gong teacher and an enthusiastic supporter of a tasty and healthy plant-based diet.
Camilla will bring us deep relaxation and self-reflection with her refined yin yoga classes and will support you on your hero's journey throughout the camp.
Joana has a diverse background in various movement arts. She started oriental dance as a child and became an experienced teacher and dancer. She is also a weightlifter and fitness enthusiast, yoga practitioner and general movement addict. Inspired by her martial arts travels with Sascha to China and the Himalayas, she also became a highly intuitive Qi Gong teacher and practitioner.
During her years of studying environmental science and landscape ecology, she began to search for more subtle truths and was initiated into shamanism. She has now been a healer and consultant to people and places for many years. Her work combines the healing power of sound, voice, touch, spirit, energy, emotion, language and mind.
Part of her mission is to bridge the gap between science and spirituality, which she also teaches at university and ecological institutions. At the camp, she always has open ears and eyes for you to share your inner processes. She holds the space, designs ceremonies, and frames your heroic adventure with heart and spirit.

For whom is the Spirit of the Hero?
A Spirit of the Hero camp is for you, if you are a seeker... if you know that there is more to your life than working and spending time in front of your devices! It is for you, if you want to experience yourself and life deeper. This is it. That's enough to join.
But besides that, the Spirit of the Hero is for people who love breathing, laughing, movement, holistic living, campfires under the stars, the forests, the oceans and nature itself. It is for everyone who is stressed, overworked and just needs a big time out. You don't need any foreknowledge and don't need to be fit at all. Nevertheless, the camps are also popular amongst martial artists, yogis and sportsmen who want to understand themselves on a deeper level.
In short… it is for all the heroes out there, who long to get out of their status quo and into the extraordinary world! :-)
So, for whom is it not?
People who are not open to different modalities, traditions and new approaches. And people who only want either meditation or a physical bootcamp. We believe that human beings need both aspects and that we have to bring them in harmony and train them together to develop our potential. Don't avoid your inner side! And don't reject kicking your own ass! :-)
How fit do I need to be?
It is very important to us that everyone can join the camp! We have a wide mix of participants at all imaginable fitness and experience levels. If you haven't moved for years and never saw a meditation cushion in your life or you are a professional athlete, either way you will find your challenge and your individual path of growth at the camp.
What modalities, sports & techniques will I experience?
The camp's training process will include parts or a blend of many different modalities. Among them are Meditation, Qi Gong, Yoga, Animal Styles Movement, Martial Arts, Taiji, Shamanic Journeying, 5 Elements Analysis, traditional Archery, Mori Gari (forest fighting challenge), Self-reflection training, Nutrition workshops, and many more...
What is the camp's language?
The training will be given in English and the group will communicate in English. Don't worry if your English is only basic - communication is not an issue once you are there and experience the group. Additionally, we will also be able to translate into German, and to a limited extent, to French & Japanese.
Where exactly is it?
Each camp takes place in a unique, selected location. We only choose places that we love, that have a special magic and that offer everything a Spirit of the Hero Camp needs - nature, great healthy food, energetic places, and that sense of adventure.
